A bridge of support for those affected by trauma.
“We connect with people in hopeless situations — a grieving mother, someone dealing with drug abuse, or other trauma — and give them community, show them how to love themselves more, and we become an example to them of what’s possible for them.”
Mission Statement
We were founded on the need of support from the community. We encourage self love, higher education and self employment by offering a support bridge to those in need of resources to get to the next level in their lives. We believe it takes a healthy village to raise a child. United we stand!
What We Do
We work with more than 5,000 families in the District from sites in all 8 wards. Where we see a need, we find a way to address it, with diverse programming in:

At Momma’s Safe Haven, we believe healing begins with love, support, and opportunity. When I started this organization, it came from a place of deep passion and personal experience—I knew what it felt like to face hardship, to want better for your children, and to feel like no one was listening. That’s why we created a space where families can feel seen, heard, and uplifted.
Hearing stories like the one you’re about to watch (or just watched) reminds us why we do this work. We’ve seen firsthand the impact of our programs—how a safe space after school, a kind word, or a supportive community can change the course of a child’s life and strengthen the entire family.
But we can’t do this alone. Our programs are made possible through the generosity of people like you. If this story touched your heart, I invite you to be part of our mission. Your donation helps us keep our doors open, our programs running, and most importantly, it helps us keep hope alive for so many who need it.
Thank you for believing in us. Together, we can continue to build stronger families and brighter futures.
With love and gratitude,
