what we do

We work with more than 5,000 families in the District from sites in wards 4, 5, 6, and 7. Where we see a need, we find a way to address it, with diverse programming:

Through the Healing Center, families receive grief and substance abuse counseling, participate in sexual abuse support groups, and receive family supports. We also run the Never Give Up Project and we’re planning our first-ever You Go Girl Transformation Conference for fall 2020.

Momma’s Safe Haven started with a talent show, DC Youth Has Talent, a free community event and program designed to give youth a positive outlet and create opportunities for success. We build real relationships within families and among them through this and other programs, including field trips to amusement parks and elsewhere, and through Art All Night

 Education and training

We give people guidance in taking charge of their own financial success through Black Wall St. in DC , DC Film Life and other programs.
